{Christmas Come Early}

Christmas has come early this year for Ryan and I, and I am so happy to announce ... baby #2!! Yea! We could not be more excited about this second blessing. Although this one too came as a surprise, we can't help but be grateful. Baby 2 will be born somewhere around July 10, 2009 ... which would make me right at 12 weeks. Everyone is healthy, and the doctor says the baby looks excellent!

So, any guesses as to the sex of this baby? Well, you're going to have to wait like everyone else, because we are NOT finding out what it is! I know ... the suspense. I just want that one, "It's a ?" in the room.

It's hard to imagine that I have will have two babies under the age of 2 in six months, but they will be close in age, and hopefully grow up the best of friends!

I hope everyone has a VERY Merry Christmas ... I know we will!

{Christmas in KC}

Every year my family travels to Kansas City to go to my grandma's house in Independence. My mom and her sisters families come as well, and it's always the weekend before Christmas. This year we had it Sunday, and my dad was nice enough to share some of the photo's he took during the day.

There are some traditions our family has never parted with. For one, the meal will always consist of steak fondue with sides of potatoes, salads and bread. Everyone will always have their own stocking that my grandma made, and inside the men will always get batteries and armorial, and the women will always get household items and bath and body works. Inside every one's stocking will be an Orange. Don't ask me why. There will be little dishes around the house filled with chocolates and orange slices as well. There are just some things that will never change.

This year we had a great group, it was Ryan, Braeden, my mom, my dad, my brother Justin, his girlfriend Emily, my Aunt Lisa, my aunt Amy, my cousin Tyler, and my grandma, all sitting around the Christmas tree!

Here are just a few of the pictures throughout the day ...

Only 3 days left!

{Congratulations To The Hubs!}

You may remember a couple of weeks ago me saying that I had some good news to relay on to everyone, and that you had to wait! Well, I am proud to say that Ryan has landed himself a new job, and today was day 1! He is no longer employed by Reagan Honda, but now he is employed by IKON Office Solutions here in Jeff! I haven't even mentioned the best part yet. He is off by 5 most days and he does NOT have to work any weekends. WHAT?? No weekends? What are we going to do with all of this time??

So congrats honey, you'll do great, and you will make a great account executive. Braeden and I are so proud!!

Love You!

{Play Date II}

Saturday was a fun day for Braeden and I. We both slept in on Saturday morning. Friday night was the first time that Braeden wanted to come and sleep in between Ryan and I, and of course, I let him. He was just so precious, I couldn't resist. So anyways, Saturday we took it a little easy in the morning, cleaned up a bit, and then headed to Columbia to see Kyleigh and Laura!

It was the first time we were able to see their home, and it happened to be right by Cody's old one, how about that?!? It was actually really spacious, and it made me really want some bigger space, especially when Ryan and I have more kids. I am feeling a little cluttered at the moment!

All-in-all we had a great time. Reade, Laura's husband came with us out to eat at Friday's, and Laura introduced me to THE BEST CHEESECAKE I have had in a long time ... umm, vanilla bean cheesecake was to die for. Now I am going to be craving it every night. Thank Laura! After lunch we headed over to good ol' Sam's Club ... oh yeah! The kids were so cute too, well, at least for the first couple of minutes. Sam's has these double carts where two kids can sit ... and it was just the cutest thing ever. Check it out!

{Something About Christmas & Feeling Better}

Everyone in the house is pretty much back to the norm. Braeden is still on the mend, but I am determined by the end of the week to get him completely back to normal. I miss my funny little guy. Of course every time I pulled out the camera to take a picture of his pitiful face, he started smiling and laughing ... what a ham!!

Today we actually got a lot done. I was able to make our ornaments this year by going to michaels and purchasing kind of (diy) ornaments. I got the idea from another blog, and I couldn't help myself ... I had to try this at home!! How do you think they turned out?

I was also able to finish my Christmas Cards. I usually wait until the week of Christmas to do them (not because I plan it that way, it just always happens) so this year I got a head start! Yea Me! I don't know if any of you remember, but a couple of weeks ago I told you all that I was going to have good news to announce ... it took a little longer than I expected, but I am happy to say that NEXT week :) I will be able to fill everyone in!! Keep checkin in!!

{My Sick Baby Boy}

This weekend, my 13-month-year-old got sick, for the first time! It has been awful! The poor boy has been throwing up since Saturday morning, and is so weak, he can hardly sit down. I have been spoon feeding him liquids all weekend long, and he just lays around sick as can be.
I just feel so bad for him. Hopefully tomorrow he will start feeling better. ... I NEED him to start feeling better, I am exhausted.

Keep us in your prayers!!
(On a side note ... although the game on Saturday was an embarrassment!!!! At least we are Alamo bound! Go Tigers!!)

{A Really Late Night = A Really Tired Mom}

On Saturday night there was another Imhoff wedding. Ryan's Uncle Thom got married here in Jeff City, and of course Ryan, Braeden & I attended. My mom even decided to come which was nice to have her there, and spend a little extra family time with her since I wasn't home for Thanksgiving.

Needless to day, right after dinner was served, Braeden got fussy, and when that happens, you just know it's time to leave. Since my mom was there, she offered to take Braeden home, give him a bath, and put him to bed ... so nice of her! So that ment that I stayed at the reception with Ryan and his family. It was a good night for the most part, people were dancing, the band was playing some good music, I got to meet some people that I have never met before, and it was a chance for Ryan to really let loose. Something he hadn't done in a long time.

The end of the night was winding down (so I thought) and I started to get tired, I just needed to sleep. Just because I didn't have my son, didn't mean that I can stay out late and get crazy, Braeden still wakes up early in the morning, and it's never a good day if I am out of it! So I kept telling Ryan I was ready to go ... and his response ... "after I finsih this beer." Okay, finally I had ENOUGH and just simply left. Yes, I left my husband at the reception with no ride home ... but his wife was tired, and I gave him MANY warnings!! When I finally left ... this was what was taking place ...

The weather had really dropped, and it was supposed to snow during the night, so all I wanted to do was to curl up in my bed with my electric blanket, and just fall asleep ....UMMM, yeah right! Turns out, my husband decided after many drinks that he was ready to come home, and reality finally set in that he did not have a ride. So what does he do? At 1:00 AM he calls me ... will you PLEASE come and pick me up?? .... Okay, this would mean that I have to get out of my warm bed, put on warm clothes, WAKE MY SLEEPING SON UP, and put him in the car.

Yes, I am the best wife ... I know this. I picked Ryan up and when we got home, I got him to take a picture of Braeden and him before he put Braeden back to sleep ... you can't help by smile. All and all it was a good night, but the next day, everyone was exhausted!!
