Halloween 2016

Monday, October 31, 2016
Another Halloween has come and gone!  It's the first Halloween where they both have picked exactly what they wanted to be, without any help from me ...  I can't choose any cute costumes anymore ... they are growing up before my eyes!  My older son went off and tricker treated with friends ... *tears. But you know what, these two make me so happy, and they are SO funny!  Best friends!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Imhoff Halloween 2014

Monday, November 3, 2014
Imhoff Halloween is never dull and this year was no exception.  The only difference is that this year we're trick or treating in Texas, instead of Missouri.  And I have to say, it is weird not seeing family when the kids are all dressed up.  Facebook and social media will have to do!

This year both of the kids choose their own costumes.  Braeden LOVES Adam Levine and decided to dress up like a RockStar and Bayler decided on the BumbleBee Transformer.  Both equally as cute!  I do have to say, Braeden is usually super clean cut and almost on the preppy side on a day-to-day basis ... this look, totally different!!!  I think he make a good rocker :)

This year was very special as we trick or treated in our new neighborhood that we'll live in this Spring!

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!

Imhoff Halloween 2012

Friday, November 2, 2012
 Oh what fun Halloween was this year!

I would have to say that this was the first year when both kids really "got it."  They each had their individual Halloween parties at school, which meant they both got to wear their costumes instead of the usual school clothes.  I also got to go to attend each of their parties, which makes me SO thankful for having a flexible schedule.  [Thanks Hubby!]

Since most years we have stayed around our neighborhood, I thought it was time to head up my parents house's and let them see the kids on Halloween this year.  SO glad I did.  We grabbed dinner out on our way, and headed to my parents neighborhood.  It was crazy to take the kids trick-or-treating to the same places I used to go to on Halloween.  Really Crazy!  In fact, really crazy that a lot of the people still live in the same house.  Years ago they were handing me candy, and now they are seeing my kids do the same thing.  It felt like home for sure!

Braeden was a Top Gun Fighter Pilot.  We was SO handsome in it!  And our Bear was a fireman, which he adored.  Now we just have to figure out what to do with all of this candy.  What do you all do?  Keep it, save it? Throw some out?  One things for sure, we're not eating it all!! :)

Happy Halloween!

{Halloween Trick or' Treating 2011}

Tuesday, November 22, 2011
Can not believe that I forgot to post about the boy's Halloween. Let me first say that my kids were the cutest on the block ... ok, proud mamma here, and I am allowed to say that.

Every year I struggle with the kids costumes ... what will they be, will they wear it, are they going to be too cold, etc. This year was no different. Let me backtrack ... My son Braeden is obsessed with super heroes ... something I really despise. So it wasn't a hard decision for me to ban them in our household after he started acting them out, and having trouble at school. That being said, did anyone happen to notice the trend in kid costumes this year? ALL SUPER HEROES ... are you kidding me? Where are the cute costumes for younger boys? Do they all really need to be fighting costumes? I was a little disgusted to be honest. And to be fair, I almost let Braeden be Spiderman this year, he saw the costumes everywhere and didn't understand why he couldn't dress up as him. But I stuck to it, and decided I would start talking up "real heroes." Yep, REAL heroes are the men and women who protect our country and community. Like Firemen, Policemen, Soldiers, etc. It caught on pretty quick and it was long after there school had "Fire" week where Braeden was talking up Fireman. "Stop, Drop & Roll!" So I ran with it. I found the BEST fireman costume online that was an exact replica of our community ... it was the bomb!

Now Bayler is still at the age where he can be talked into anything. The only problem that I may face was him wanting to be the same thing as Braeden. He LOVES animals, especially dogs, so I started talking about dog costumes with him and showing him ones online ... he loved it! SO of course I had to get the Dalmatian costume to go with his brothers ... the cutest costume ever! Seriously, he was the cutest little puppy I have ever seen :)

So there you have it ... for Halloween this year I got one handsome fireman and one cute puppy ... couldn't have worked out better! They had SUCH a fun time too. It took Bayler a little while this year to get used to his costume, he would put it on, but would want to take it right off. That was until he realized he got candy for wearing his costume ... I didn't think I would ever get it off of him! I can't tell you how many people stopped us either. They were the perfect combination. And the number of Fireman that wanted to buy Braeden's costume from me was unbelievable.

Hope everyone had a GREAT Halloween!!

{Halloween 2010}

I can't believe Halloween has already passed ... really, where did October go? I think this was probably the first year where Braeden knew what all was going on. In the past, he hasn't really been "trick-or-treating," so Sunday was a huge step for him ... he loved it, except for the "scary houses." That would be all the houses where someone was dressed up inside ... it really freaked him out!

I love all the fall activities, and now that the kids are getting older, we are starting to make our own family traditions. Here are a few of our pictures leading up to the big day, and of course, Halloween night!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!
