Imhoff Easter Brunch :: 2016

Friday, March 25, 2016
I think it's safe to say that we're ready for our Easter Brunch on Sunday!

So if I'm being real ... I will tell you that I hardly EVER make breakfast.  Part of it, is that I don't usually eat breakfast, so it's hard for me to get up and eat anyways.  Secondly, since going back to work, cereal has been our go-to during the week, and then on the weekends - we're usually at a game or sleeping in ... because we're EXHAUSTED!!!

If on the rare occasion we do make breakfast ... it's the hubs who provides. What can I say? I married a keeper.  He also brings me breakfast in bed on these mornings ..... oh who am I kidding - that NEVER happens!!

With that being said, Easter is a huge exception.  I kind of go - ALL OUT.  But again, it's brunch ... so technically ....

I haven't quite decided everything that we'll have on Sunday, but I know there will be Ham, a casserole, probably French Toasts because it's the kids favorite and some type of fruit.  Are you all making Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch this year?!  What are you making?!!!  Help a girl who never makes anything before noon ;)

Texas Tulip Farm 2015

Monday, March 30, 2015
** Post Warning :: WAYY too many photos **

We found a little gem in North Texas today ...and when we say "little gem," we mean the Jewel of Spring!  We are so lucky there is a brand new Tulip Farm just North of Frisco.  This is the first year of Texas Tulips in Pilot Point, TX, but today, it became a Springtime Tradition for the Imhoff Family.

Rows and rows of Tulips in all different colors lined the country side, it was one of the most beautiful sights I have seen since moving here in August.  Open from February to April, this farm allows you to "pick your own" flowers and every possible photo opportunity for families and children of all ages.  You'll notice I had a hard time choosing just a few :)

It was pefect for us to snap a few [ahem] a LOT of photos just in time for Easter.  We also picked quite a few tulips for the kids teachers and our own Easter Table for brunch.

If you're in North Texas during the months of Feb - April, you'll need to make sure Texas Tulips is a stop you make!  You won't regret it and we're already looking forward to next year!

Happy Easter!

Easter Morning 2014

Sunday, April 20, 2014
I am cherishing these moments.  Days like these are flying by and the boys are growing up so fast.  This morning, just the look on their faces when they awoke and saw everything the Easter Bunny had left was so sweet.

They are the most amazing little boys ... loving, caring and makes me thankful for every moment like this mornings.

Happy Easter

Easter at The Imhoff's 2014

Sunday, April 6, 2014

Easter is almost here.  It's one of those holidays I don't typically like decorating for, since I am not a huge fan of pastels.  BUT, I dug down deep this year and decided to move away the traditional Easter Colors and create more of a citrus inspired tablescape.   I infused a mossy green color with pops of yellow flowers from our garden.  I also brought in some lemon's to add some color as well.

Easter to our family is a brunch.  It's more of grab-and-go options like pastries, muffins, croissants with chicken salad.  We typically make French toast and eggs to go as well.  Since most of Easter Morning is spent at Church and finding eggs in the yard, it's nice to have more of a casual meal.

I also created an Easter Tablescape last year and the year before ... found HERE and HERE.
Make sure to check  them out.

I'm curious to see what everyone else is creating this year for Eater.  Are you using more traditional Easter pastels or thinking outside the box?
