{Braeden's Circus Invite}

Thursday, August 26, 2010
It's that time of year again, another birthday! You all know how much I love prepping for each birthday party, it's what I love to do! Over the past few days I have been playing around with photoshop, trying to make the perfect invitation for Braeden's 3rd Birthday Party.

The theme this year is a 3 Ring Circus ... get it :) It's going to be complete with a bounce house, hot dog bar, games, popcorn, etc. It will be the first year where Braeden can "invite" his own friends ... I can't wait!

What do you think?

{Men of the Club 2010}

Tuesday, August 24, 2010
Every year men from our community come together to support the Boys and Girls club in a male pageant fundraiser. Each male prepares a swimsuit, talent and formal wear act. Let me just say, this is not a family event :) It gets a little risque, and women run up with dollar bills for the acts they like the best. It is hilarious!

Ryan was in this competition last year (see last years post here.) He actually won... I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed :) Betsy, over at Giggles & Bits, is one of the MC's for the night ... she does not disappoint!!

Check out some of this years pictures from Jennifer's Photography here in town.

Here is some of the pictures I took of the Hubs from the evening. (You can tell I am not a professional photographer) Since Ryan won last year, he got to come back and get the crowd going, place the crown on the pedestal, and then do an encore skit while the judges were deliberating. Of course I totally thought his skit was the best of the night :)

If you live in the area, and have not attended before, DO NOT miss this event next year. It's for a great cause, and who doesn't like to see guys dancing around all night? Next year is the "All-Star" year, where past winners come back to preform ... I guess it's Ryan's third year in a row! See you next year!

{Minor Mikes}

Friday, August 13, 2010
This huge red barn looking building sits across from the outlet mall that I frequent multiple times a year. I have always known it was a kids indoor play place, but I have never had an interest in seeing what is was all about. I guess when you don't have kids, you know places like this exist, but they aren't on your radar.

Sarah, over at "Walking with the Wheats," posted about taking her kids to Minor Mikes down at the lake. It was filled with fun pictures, family friendly, and fun for all ages. Okay, it got my attention.

So when Ryan had to run to the Lake on business that would only last a few minutes, I was quick to get the kids ready and jump in the car with him. I had no idea what to expect.

Braeden and Bayler's eyes were WIDE open when we arrived. It was like a free for all, just run in and play with anything you can get your hand on. What fun! Bayler loved the caresail and Braeden wouldn't get off the train. It's so reasonably priced (if you go at least twice a year) that you can't help but buy the season pass. I can't wait to head back in a couple of weeks to take the kids... they are going to be so excited! And did I mention it was across the street from the outlet mall? Oh yeah ... mommy's happy too!

{Daddy's Home}

I am so blessed to be able to spend every day at home with my kids. I love to watch them play and interact, but nothing beats the excitement they get when they hear Ryan's car pull into the drive way.

Pure and utter excitement ...
