Hey you all. I would just like to say that I appreciate all your sweet comments over the years. I use blogging as a creative outlet, something I can do while the kids are sleeping, or just to get my thoughts out there for my own personal diary of our lives. I love blogging ... it's one of my favorite things, and I love where it has taken me. I especially love everyone I have met because of it.

Because when you blog, your life is out there, your families life is out there. I want to be able to have an open blog, because I don't ever want to limit who I can reach & who I can meet. Now, because my blog is open, I would like the respect back in return. If I go to your blog and like what I read, I usually leave a kind comment, just a little something to let the writer know that I think they are a genius, how cool I think they are, or just to introduce myself. If I read something I don't really agree with, or see something I don't care for ... I just move on. No nasty comments necessary, because hey, we are all human, all have a right to our opinions & quite frankly, I just find it rude ... and I am not that kind of person. And as far as etiquette goes ... if I EVER was to say something unpleasant (which I haven't) I would sign my name. I just find it coward like to say something and not leave a name ...

In regards to a negative comment I received tonight ... I would just like to respond publicly, giving myself the opportunity to address this in my own way, so that everyone else can understand where I am coming from. I am a mom, a thrifty mom at that. I also love photography. No, I am not a professional, never have claimed to be, nor do I want to be. But through photography I have learned how to edit, and through editing, I have taught myself how to use photoshop. If I were to take a class in photoshop, I would probably get a D or a C, because I still have SOOO much to learn. BUT, I practice. And I practice by using pictures, making greeting cards, invitations & home decor prints. I have said a couple of times on here that I would love to start an etsy shop. These of course would be for my own prints, like the baby sleeping print a few posts back. A couple of weeks ago I recreated some signs like "LOVE" or "I LOVE BLOGS, YOU & COFFEE" or "KEEP CALM & CARRY ON." I have never planned to sell or sold any of these prints. If you read my post it says that there are a million of them out there, and because I am getting good at photoshop, I could make them for my own house. Not for anyone else. They are not my artwork, nor have I claimed them to be my own creations.

These are just some of the ways I practice photoshop, and spend some of my time. I find some inspiration, and, I try to 'recreate" it in my own way, for my own personal use. No one elses. I don't copy and paste and print ... I start with a blank page.

So, please stop leaving me negative comments. No, I don't feel "ashamed." I am not sure why I am being targeted, I am not on Etsy selling someone elses artwork or a reproduction of someones artwork like a million other people are. I am just a thrifty mom, who likes to make her home pretty. If I do try to "recreate" something, I usually link to that persons blog, so everyone else can see who else is doing another fabulous project. But seriously, go on etsy and type in "keep calm and carry on" yep ... tons of hits. And not one of them link to me ...

So, in order for me to keep my blog public and not go private, I ask that you please leave your negative comments to yourself and if you have a problem with something I post, or feel that it's not right, or I should have linked to your blog ... just let me know. I am a reasonable person, but the one thing I do demand is respect.

Thank you all for understanding, and I hope the first day of November treated you well.

Oh dear. I didn't see the negative comment(s) - but I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I think it's just a part of, unfortunately, having an open blog. Like you - I used to have my blog open - and met (some IN PERSON!) some wonderful ladies this way....but, because of VERY rude comments about the way I did things in my life I decided to make mine private. Some people are just jealous...that's what it boils down too. You are soo creative - even if you are using other people's general ideas, WHO FREAKING CARES - like you said, you give them credit and you still do it YOUR WAY. Ugh. People need to find something that makes them truly happy instead of trying to make themselves feel better by being mean to other people. Steppign down : )

awww. that makes me sad. Blogging is my happy place, and I agree with you... when I see something I dont like I just move on. Sorry you had to deal with someone like that. I love your blog! :)

Sorry you had to deal with some Debbie Downers. You have an amazing blog, and I'd be honored if I was half as talented.
